My wife, mother, two teenage children and I spent three nights at the Enchantment Resort in a two bedroom casita. My sister's family also stayed at the Enchantment for four nights in a deluxe room.
The two bedroom casita was very nice. With the Murphy bed in the living room and a third full bathroom, it was more like a three bedroom suite. We had plenty of room. Housekeeping was very punctual and very thorough.
We only ate one meal at the Enchantment - lunch at Ti Gavo. Food and service were fine. Prices were a little high but not outrageous.
We're not spa experts, but the Mi Amo seemed very nice. Also, there were a number of activites at the spa which were free.
Parking was a bit of a nuisance. There was no parking in the immediate area of our casita. We had to park on a hill about a block away.
As noted in other reviews, cell phones/PDA's generally don't work at the Enchantment.
Service was generally very good, with two notable exceptions. We weren't thrilled with the front desk - not particularly friendly or helpful. The place was 65% vacant (per the bellman) yet they couldn't find a room for my mother that was near my sister's room for one night.. Also, my mother couldn't get an extended checkout time because they allegedly needed the room (even though most of the rooms were vacant).
The concierge desk was bad. They made our reservations for the Jeep tour on the wrong day - the day before we arrived. Not one word of apology or explanation. Not sure why we weren't contacted about it when we arrived. We also had problems with them regarding restaurant reservations.
I read some of the old reviews and noticed that there have been a lot of other complaints regarding the front desk and concierge staff. Thus, I don't think that our problems were isolated incidents. I'm convinced that the only thing that motivates the concierege desk is the commission that they earn from the Jeep tours and outside activities. Customer service is not their forte'.
Overall, however, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. All of us plan to return next year and recommend the place highly.
