“K.C. to the rescue!”
I found myself in a giant snowstorm and was pretty muched forced to stop in showlow. it was only noon, but they let me check in early as the weather really really sucked!
Check in was easy, got my internet password and headed to the room. My room was clean. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was. I even thought about staying an extra day as the weather was still pretty rotten and I was not due in Phoenix for another day.
I was very satisifed with the room, the bed etc. I considered it a great value for the price.
I left, a happy satisfied customer. Then it got interesting...
I got about a hundred miles towards Phoenix and decided to pull in to good 'ol McDonalds and use their wireless internet. NO COMPUTER.... After a bit of a frantic search of the entire car there was only one conclusion. I'd left my computer in the motel room. No, I did not cry, but thought about it.
I'd picked up a business card from the K.C. motel when I checked out and found it in my pocket, got on the cellphone and called. Yes, they had my computer. I had absolutely no interest in driving back to Showlow so I asked the Owner if he would mail it to me. He agreed to do it. All I had to do was get him an address in Phoenix where it was to be sent.
Called him later with the address and he promised to put it in the mail the next morning. The computer arrived yesterday ( next day after he sent it) and he had gone to the extra trouble of even wrapping it in three hotel towels so it would not get damaged! I was very pleased!
He'd gone out of his way to get me my computer as quickly as possible
He'd wrapped it extra carefully so that it would arrive undamaged.
He even called me the day after it arrived to make sure it had gotten there safely.
Now THAT'S "customer service", at it's best.
And the cost for all the trouble I put him to? 15 bucks, which was what it cost him to mail it UPS. I offered to send him something more, and he politely turned it down.
After I stayed there, I had already decided I would likely stay there again if I were in the area. After the computer rescue and their extra efforts, there is no doubt where I will stay when I get through there again.
Thank you- thank you, K.C. motel!
