“Great Time”

Circle Pines KOA Campground

We stayed here for 4th of July weekend, and the campground was FULL, but the staff did an INCREDIBLE job making sure things ran smoothly. Check in was quick and efficient, our site was clean and ready, the store was stocked, the restaurant was excellent, everything about the place was working properly. And the best part was, I never came across a single employee who was rude or rushed. They answered all my questions with complete and detailed answers, and everyone was pleasant and helpful. There were crafts for the kids, indoor heated pool, that really was heated and comfortably warm!! Music, cookouts, bike rentals, horse rides, hay rides, live music, good coffee at 6:30am, ice cream social and lots more. Debbie was in charge of crafts, and she did a SUPER job with the kids! The people in the bike and mini-golf trailer were sooo nice and helpful too,.. it was a great weekend!! Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed there for Mother's Day weekend, because they had a special offer. We stayed in one of the Kabins. The campground is really beautiful- surrounded by tall pines. Facilities were good- showers and bathrooms were a short walk away. It was really cold at night, but space heaters are provided at no charge. They have a heated indoor pool (free), and some on-site activities for kids. It's a short drive into Williams, and about an hour drive to the Grand Canyon. They have a little store on-site, and rent portable grills and movies. The sites also have fire pits.

The only downsides were walking to the bathrooms (not so fun at 2 am), noisy neighbors, and the close proximity (and smell) of the dump station.

All in all, we had a great time there.

“A great base for a Grand Canyon visit”

Circle Pines KOA Campground

14 Feb 2008

We booked this accommodation as a change from staying in motels and we were so pleased we did!

It was about an hour to the Grand Canyon, our main reason for the visit, and a very straightforward trip. We were given lots of info by the camp managers as well as discount vouchers.

Our Kamping Lodge was just right for us, everything was provided apart from bedding but the campsite were very helpful for information beforehand and so we just picked up some sleeping bags en-route.

The facilities on site are great but unfortunately when we visited there had been about 2 foot of snow so alot of the site was not accessible but I'm sure during the warmer months it would be perfect for families.

This KOA had just changed managers, and wasn't well run at the time (Dec 03/Jan 04). Our cabin smelled of animal urine. The showers were on timers, and the water never got hot at all, which was horrible during the cold winter. The mats in the shower were uncomfortable and hurt my feet. And I'm used to roughing it, so if I complain, then something is not good!
This KOA is in the prettiest area though, surrounded by tons of pines - I just hope that whatever managers are there now have gotten it together.
Trains go nearby it, so if you are a light sleeper, this might not be for you.

“Friendliest, cleanest, best service for this camping family”

Circle Pines KOA Campground

We are a tried and true camping family of 6. We drove from WI to AZ and decided not to bring our pop up and tried a Kamping Kabin at our first stay at a KOA. To say the least....we were ecstatic with our decision. The Kabin was perfect. The husband and wife team were very accomodating and kept the facilites spotless. It was a top notch campground...and we have seen our share of campgrounds. We were an hour from the Grand Canyon and that was ok with us. The KOA camp store had a great variety of food and was CHEAPER than the grocery store in tusayan by the canyon. Many kudos to this KOA
