It is possible that all hotels in the tourist town of Williams are overpriced and undermaintained. I would have thought that a Fairfield Inn, a brand we know and like, would be a lot better than this place.
We were greeted by a front desk clerk who seemed to not know a lot. The room to which we were sent smelled of cigarette smoke, even though the whole place is supposedly non-smoking. Of course, they were full up and could not change our room. Smell aside, the room was typical Fairfield Inn.
The facility looked worn, like it had seen better days. The pool is outdoors and closes by October. We left too early for the complimentary breakfast, so we cannot assess its quality.
In the range of hotel chains we've seen, we expect Fairfield Inns to be of similar quality to a Courtyard. This one was more like a Days Inn, which generally affords an experience much less pleasant.
We paid $80-90 for our night there. This place is worth $50-60. I wouldn't pay more.
When you're touring, everything's relative. This place wasn't very good, but I have no idea how it compared to the hotels down the street. I'd be inclined to try one of them, just to see.
