We booked 3 nights in February and held it with a credit card. When we arrived there was nobody in the office and our key was in an envelope taped to the office door. Further, the rate advertized on their marquee was lower than the rate we were quoted. The room was so-so (i.e. too dark to see or read, 2 bulbs burned out and the rest 40 watts, bedspread had blood stains underneath, urine stain in bathtub, etc). Later, when we learned that Eureka Springs was "boarded up" for the season and were being charged a HIGHER rate than others, we decided to check out and were told we'd be charged for all 3 nights because they required 48 hours notice to leave. We then stated we would stay 2 nights then check out, giving 48 hours notice on the last day and were told they did not issue refunds and would charge our card. The rate on the marquee out front changed 6 times while we were there from $49.99 to $69.99 and everything in between (we paid 54.99). Minimal housekeeping was done (towels only) and no new bulbs were put in lamps despite the notes we left. When we left there was no one in the office, and we had to call from a phone outside to check out. We were told to drop our key in the drop box at the door. When we requested a receipt, we were told we got one at check in...remember, our key was taped to the office door, so we never checked in. Had to wait for someone to get there to check us out and issue receipt, and they were NOT happy-NOR were we. Will NOT be back.
