My husband & I stayed for a 3 night midweek break. The hotel was very relaxing, staff were very helpful & friendly. The rooms were a little old fashioned but very clean. The food was excellent, we had breakfast each morning & there was plenty of choice. We found the dinner menu limited but the food was cooked to perfection, we really enjoyed it. We ate in the town the other 2 nights, and the food was excellent also. The national park is very close by and has some lovely long walks. The town itself is very charming, a two minute walk from the hotel, most pubs had nightly entertainment and the locals are very chatty.
My only complaints about the hotel would be; the beds were a little hard, but at least we left with straight backs!! and the fan in the bathroom was loud and took ages to switch off!
Overall we really enjoyed are stay and would recommend it highly, we'll definatley be back.
