Terrible place, furniture from the 1970s, refrigerator a rusty broken mess, no hot water at any time of day or night, sunloungers so bad I would not use ,balcony dirty with botched unfinished repair work everywhere, staff inefficient. The only good thing was that we had only booked to stay for 2 days so able to leave quickly. If you are going for longer take antidepressants with you!

after staying in playa fanabe for the last 5 years over new year. staying in several different hotels and apartments. the best being (fanabe costa sur which was not much more expensive than sol sun) and never been disapointed. i new location of sol sun beach which looked good as you walked by.
on arrival reception looked ok. was a bit surprised with price of TV rental and any appliance had a price on it. so didnt bother with any of them. we were told that room was on beach front. which we were quite happy about. reception level was level 3. which looked ok, we got to lift to take us Down to level 1 (lift was not working) so draged cases downstairs. to block A. which is in the basement you would think you were in basement of some prison you go along this long corridor no daylight can be seen. apartment A1 2. studio so we are on beach level so people are walking by all the time. no net curtains and you cannot get out of the bathroom to bedroom area with out being seen. so you had to have curtains shut . well screwed up curtains. patio doors were secured by a bar you put down frame. bed was so hard had to put matress from seatee on top bed. one good thing the room was CLEAN. and in good location.

i loved the sol sun beach excellent location walking distance to the beach about 5 minutes..shops bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk..including burger king and mcdonalds!!!!! i stayed on a half board basis, but to be honest if i went back i would go b&b or self catering it is so cheap to eat out!! we had 3 rooms and out of the 3 i would recomend you request rooms on level E this seemed to be sea view newer looking rooms! its only a base though..we where hardly in the rooms! the weather was AMAZING!! so hot for the whole week i was there. being a travel agent i would defo go back to this hotel infact iv costed it again this morning for oct half term. great value for money. and good for all ages!!! as we went with my younger brother who is 16 and my nan and grandad in their seventies! And we all said it was good! we also walked into playa de las americas it was about an hours strole..along the beach which was lovely. the entertainment in the hotel was good too.Local bars i can recommend..would be the Zen bar and The Playa and also the Garden Bar
