We have just returned from these apartments having stayed for a week. The apartment was clean although a bit tired and in need of an upgrade. The staff were friendly and the maids cheery and willing to help. I was a bit concered with the "Security Device" which was a metal bar to be put along the bottom of the patio door frame - not very reassuring! We were visited by a couple of cockroaches but put this down to the fact that there was a strike by the litter collectors and the whole area of Cost Adeje was not as clean as I have seen it. When the strike passed, the cockroaches disappeared. The pool was fantastic with plenty of free sunbeds and parasols, and there was plenty of room so that you were not lying too close to your neighbours. The location was perfect for walking in the mornings, eating lunch out and then heading either to the pool or beach to spend the afternoon in the glorious sunshine. Plenty of choice for evening meals 2 minutes walk away. Overall the location was ideal, the apartments were good and the weather fantastic.

Stayed for 1 week in February and overall it was good.
First Impressions of reception was good and was told would be in a room with a sea view which was great. The only thing was it was on the bottom level and just about every body in Adege walks right past and look right in to the room and boy do some look!!!! Could not do anything in private, if you walk from the bathroom after taking a shower to the bedroom area (in the buff as I do) every body gets an eye full (or not!!) The shower is the best ever, plenty of hot water and a flow of water that was great.
The appartment was on it's last legs though, as we found out the third morning with the builders in next door to start a refurb. 7:50am and they started knocking up the tiled floor, ripping out the wardrobes, kitchen and bathroom. It was a good job i am up and about early. To be honest this did not really put me off as the canaries being a 12 month a year destination, they have to do this sort of work some time, at least the Sol Sun was making an effort to update the rooms. The maid service was very good in every day except 1. We ate out every day so did not really spend any time at the Sol Sun as we had freinds 2 mins away in a private hotel (5 star) so we spent all our time there.
I would use the Sol Sun again but would try to book a room higher up than level A.

Terrible place, furniture from the 1970s, refrigerator a rusty broken mess, no hot water at any time of day or night, sunloungers so bad I would not use ,balcony dirty with botched unfinished repair work everywhere, staff inefficient. The only good thing was that we had only booked to stay for 2 days so able to leave quickly. If you are going for longer take antidepressants with you!

after staying in playa fanabe for the last 5 years over new year. staying in several different hotels and apartments. the best being (fanabe costa sur which was not much more expensive than sol sun) and never been disapointed. i new location of sol sun beach which looked good as you walked by.
on arrival reception looked ok. was a bit surprised with price of TV rental and any appliance had a price on it. so didnt bother with any of them. we were told that room was on beach front. which we were quite happy about. reception level was level 3. which looked ok, we got to lift to take us Down to level 1 (lift was not working) so draged cases downstairs. to block A. which is in the basement you would think you were in basement of some prison you go along this long corridor no daylight can be seen. apartment A1 2. studio so we are on beach level so people are walking by all the time. no net curtains and you cannot get out of the bathroom to bedroom area with out being seen. so you had to have curtains shut . well screwed up curtains. patio doors were secured by a bar you put down frame. bed was so hard had to put matress from seatee on top bed. one good thing the room was CLEAN. and in good location.
