We stayed at the Bonanza for a week self catering in October. The Bonanza is a 5 minute walk from the Beach, which is lovely, very clean and not too overcrowded. There are restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance, although these are not grouped together so we wandered around the resort to try and find the best ones.
The hotel itself is what you would expect from a 3* property. We stayed on the 4th floor with a garden/ pool view.Our room was basic but looked like all the furniture was new, although there were no plug sockets in the bedrooms and the beds wernt very comfortable. The maid service was 5 days out of 7 with the bins being emptied every day. The room had a kettle, toaster, coffee machine and cooker. I found the hotel to be quite noisy at night and probably wouldnt recommend for people with small children, although it is in a good location ie, not too close to all the nightlife but close enough if you did want to go out.
The pool was a good size and you could get a sunbed easily without having to get up early!!
The reception staff were fantastic, very polite and helpful. We had a problem with our cooker one day and the maintenance man was there within minutes.
Overall i would recommend the Bonanza if you are looking for a good base for your holiday.

This must rate as one of the worst hotels that we have stayed at. The studio we had booked was tiny and smelt, we payed extra to be upgraded to a one bedroom apartment, this was bigger but smelt as bad and was very very tired and run down. The beds were like a brick and the towels were threadbare. All in all it was not a good experience.

booked through globespan. should not recommend families. we took a two yr old, spent most nights awake as hotel more for young & lively. Clean rooms & hotel. decor dated & rooms very small. Food was lovely good choices. staff very friendly. we where kept awake many times by party goers. fine if we didn't have wee one with us!! very basic hotel shouldn't have childrens pool because its not aimed at families unfortunately not a three star hotel either. to top it off stripper bar 2 minutes away despite having a two yr old my partner was invited in ...but refused before you ask!! surrounding small bars recommended esp deborahs catered for all. not far from veronicas if thats what you like?

We travelled with Globespan! On arrival an throughout our stay the staff were very pleasant. Room's are cleaned thoroughly everyday, and fresh towels left. You have a basic kitchen (fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, blender and 2 gas rings) There is a supermarket just a 5 minute walk to left of hotel that sells British product's, although you will pay over the odd's for food you know. There is also a lovely chinese restaurant just a couple of minutes walk to the right of the hotel. Room's do have a safety deposit box for hire, wich i ALWAYS recommend you get, no matter what hotel you stay at.. The only problem with room is there are only 2 power outlets, one in kitchen and one in bedroom. There is a laundry area for your use. The hotel does have it's own buffet restaurant, but we never got round to trying it, although the food always smelt lovely. There is i slight hill up to hotel and the motorway is at back of hotel, but we never found it too noisey. The main party area is about a 10/15 minute uphill walk away. There are lots of bars, restauants and excursion's, so you wont get bored. We recommend St. Eugene's bar, but go early to get a seat. Beach is about 5/10 minute walk. This was our first visit to Tenerife, and would defo go back. (We are 30 & 36). All in all, A GREAT HOLIDAY!!!
