A few of the reviews on here a bit harsh. Booked the apartments before looking at the reviews - when I searched for reviews I had to literally be dragged there. No way out.
So we arrived at the Pardiso Del Sol, got our keys, safe keys and map. Then we were escorted through the hotel, down a big ramp, past the Paradero1 apartments and a few dead cockroaches (ARRRRGH!!!), over a bridge, through a dodgy gate (need the nack to this gate otherwise you'll have no chance! lock is very fiddly!), up some stairs, up some more stairs and to the paradero2 apartments which was to be our home for the next 7days. Room 037 we were allocated.
We entered our room, I was scared out of my wits what was on the otherside of that door, but it was a pleasant sight! A lovely clean bathroom, with all santized things on, a big bath and a detatchable shower. Super. Kitchen with all utensils including toaster, 2 single beds, table, 2 chairs and a sofa bed. Patio 3 chairs and table. All very bright and clean, no complaints.
All in all, we had around 8 cockroaches all week (the infestation was under the fridge as I watched them come and go!, I'm absolutely terrified of them and my other half is now a serial cockroach killer! I didn't sleep for the first 3 nights and had to get some sleeping tablets to help me sleep! I didn't want to wake up and find one of them things crawling on me.) and a ton of ants, on the bathroom sink, toliet and our headboard. There were more ants inside than out! They were only the tiny ones though and to be honest, didn't really bother me, too worried about the cockroaches!. We should of complained really, but didn't as we couldn't be bothered with the hassle as it was only a place to lay our heads and get changed...Walls are paperthin and you can hear EVERYTHING that's going on. From people walking through at 5am to get to their apartments to the rampant next door neighbours we had.
Two pools in the whole complex. Both quite small for the size of the complex and sometimes did get overcrowded and had to wait for sun loungers. Pool quite cold too despite being told it was heated to 25degrees at all times...oooh no it's not!
Pool bars nice, the staff very friendly and food great! I'd recommend the apartments for budget holiday-ers who aren't too bothered about sharing with horrible, useless creatures and young groups. Very central location but a lot of messing trying to get to reception, through the dodgy gates and trying to get my case up and down them ramps and stairs weren't very good either! I wouldn't stay here again myself but there are cockroaches and ants everywhere. It's all part of Tenerife.
