Only had a short break here and just got back. Hotel reception is excellent- lovely and clean with fresh flower displays. Room was clean and maid service every day we were there. Hotel has 14 floors and we were on the 5th with side view to the sea, overlooking the hotel front. I think the word TIRED is how I would describe this hotel. Paintwork peeling and a bit tatty. Lots of elderly folk enjoying the winter sun and they seemed content. Major problem was unless yu were down to the pool by 8am, you won't get a bed as they were all reserved with towels with no-one to be seen. However, I will not tolerate this so I am more than happy to chuck their towels in a heap and use the beds. Saturday and Sunday the locals seemed to use this hotel so it was much busier and hard to get a bed. Pool was FREEZING so couldn't go in it. Food was ok, we didn't starve but nothing exceptional. BUt hey, its a three star hotel and from what I heard from guests, its good value for money for winter sun. The bus took ages dropping off from one hotel to another- about 55 minutes from airport and the roads are zig zaggy- not good if you get travel sick. Beach was hard to get down to-many, many steps which made it inaccesible for most people there. Good place to pop for a snack and drink was FRANCIS 2 but he closes on Mondays. Would I go again? Nope, sorry. The resort was too quiet and run down and the hotel just a bit old and tired.
