We took took some clients for a one night stay at the Sun Inn. We had four single rooms and they had all just recently been refurbished and were of top notch quality with modern contemporary bathroom fittings and design. Flat screen TV's (although local reception was bad) and nicely decorated.
We had a meal in the restauarant which was very good - but not the best we have eaten. Breakfast was excellent. The attention to detail was very good and the courteous and polite service from all the staff and owners was superb - definately worth a visit.
We paid between £55 and £75 for each room for bed and breakfast which was very good.

Stayed over Victoriana weekend, had a fab time food drink and staff as good as ever, room a little disapointing , (Avocado sink and toilet in 2007 i ask you and carpets in the bathroom/ toilet .)
but we will be back and try one of the new rooms i hope.

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend in a fabulous, v tasteful and cosy country Inn/hotel. Staff and Owners very pleasant. Very good service.

Rooms immaculate, with superb original features, yet a fresh modern contemporary finish. Beds and bedding (heaven!), best nights sleep in ages.

Lovely spot next to church, very quiet and peaceful.

Restaurant:
Lovely surroundings, very pleasant ambience. Food and wine excellent.

Bar:
Great atmosphere and cosy.

Would certainly stay again and highly recommend.

Just returned from a trip to the Lake District which included 2 nights in this wonderful inn. This is a gem of a hotel. The food is wonderful especially the crab claw and advocado starter and there's a good selection of wine. The hotel oozes good contempory taste and our room was excellent with lovely touches like the large bottle of Kew Garden shower gel (which you're encouraged to take away with you) and enormous soft, fluffy towels and best of all a bath you can really relax in! No knees under your chin in this bath! All the staff and especially the owners go out of their way to make your visit a really enjoyable expereince. Don't be put off by lack of car park park as the market square is a 2 minute walk and has plenty of space. Great location and a really great inn with good old fashioned service. Can't recommend it highly enough.
