“A perfect place to stay for a relaxing weekend away from home.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2010

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Blakeney House in the excellent Colonial room (no4), it is very spacious and has a lovely king size bed.
Coming down to breakfast was a delight with everything on offer you could want to eat, unless you are on a diet!
This was our third stay here and would highly recommend it if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, without having children running around.
The only down side was that we were unable to see local news and weather on the TV, Blakeney is in the Yorkshire region.

“great location, excellent breakfasts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2010

We had a good sized bright room (double bed with a single for our teenaged son) at the top of the house with a sitting area (very welcome on a rainy day!). Excellent bathroom with a large free standing shower and a rolltop bath. All very clean. We stayed for 5 nights and our linen and towels were changed half way through.

Excellent breakfast. Always a good fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and various cereals in addition (or instead of) the FULL English. Friendly staff, always offered to get more toast and tea.
Great location- Blakeney is a lovely village, but parking can be a nightmare, so the fact that Blakeney House has its own parking is an added bonus.

“A big surprise off the High street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

As you turn into Blakeney House from the High Sreet you are surprised by the sheer space that surrounds it. The garden area is surprisingly large with facilities to enjoy a little sun bathing should the weather allow.
The welcome from the owner Dave is very warming and he is font of all knowledge even pridicting when it was going to rain (he was out by 5 minutes!!!!!). The rooms are spacious, clean and extremeley comfortable. We even had views of the sea from our bed through the trees.
Breakfasts are made to order and are delicious and keeps you going all day. The service again is faultless and the staff are friendly and very accomodating.
An excellent hotel can't wait to return.

“The perfect place to stay in a lovely village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Well situated in the village - off the main street in a quiet location, in pleasant grounds - we received a very friendly welcome and good service. Breakfast was good. The rooms (and we stayed in two) were very clean, very comfortable, and spacious. Our room overlooking the garden was worth the extra, but we would have been happy to stay in the other room. Our letter of confirmation, ahead of the visit, recommended two restaurants, both within a five minute walk of the guest house: The White Horse and The Moorings. We ate at each twice and can easily endorse the recommendation. It certainly helped our stay that there were two such places at hand. Blakeney is a lovely village, excellent as a centre for exploring the Norfolk coast, and Blakeney House does not disappoint. If we do Noorfolk again, we will happily stay here.

“Lovely B&B with excellent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

I stayed here for two nights on my own. It's a lovely location with views across to the point (if you have good eyesight). The hosts are wonderful- very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simply amazing- beautifully cooked and very fresh. The rooms were clean and well laid out. It's a bit pricey, however, for a B&B. Also, despite the countryside location, you can hear the traffic from the nearby A-road, which is surprising.
