Things got off to a shaky start when having had a warm welcome at reception I opened the door of my room to the distinct aroma of stale tobacco.

A return to reception and complaint was met with a swift apology and change to a non smoking alternative.

The new room was spacious with a firm bed, reasonable desk and good view from the window.

A quick change and outside (not clever in winter ok today) to the Spa. A good set of weighs and CV machines is topped off by sauna steam room and short pool.

I opted for the pub for dinner and again the staff were warm and welcoming, the beer was good although the food was average pub quality pleasant enough but I have had better.

Overall a reasonable find and somewhere I would return to if business takes me back this way again

Helpful and polite staff Nice pool Tried both pub food and restaurant - preferred the latter but both fine Ground floor garden rooms are lovely - some building work spoiled the view but by now that must be finished with

“Nice hotel, strange layout!”

We stayed here for a nice relaxing night after a mad weekend away. Got a very reasonable room only rate, worth looking around for best rates.

The hotel is one of the strangest layouts i have ever seen. It is divided into a number of different buildings so its easy to get lost! We had booked a "courtyard view" superior room. No problems booking in, although they do adhere to their check in time of 2pm. Can't blame them when they have so many rooms to clean!

Room was lovely, very spacious with a comfy bed and chairs and a swivelling TV. We also had a balcony overlooking the courtyard, if only it had been summer! The bathroom was very clean with nice big fluffy towels and a powerful shower.

The leisure facilities are good with a nice pool and jacuzzi. Only problem is that you have to go outside to get there. Not great with wet hair after a swim!

For dinner we decided to try the on-site pub "The Farmers Arms". We were a bit limited on menu choice as it was Sunday evening and they had run out of some of the menu choices. However we chose the chargrilled chicken and it was very tasty. Service was also great.

Overall a really good stay.

I was travelling to the area and stayed here for a night on business. I must say I couldnt fault the place. Its good honest hotel where you get what you pay for . Rooms were clean, bar was nice and big with a good choice and good emmenities in the hotel. I have stayed previosuly with the family and would stay again.

I agree with the other reviews on this hotel - a good place to stay

“Big welcome bar”

Best Western Knights Hill Hotel

Stayed here for one night for a £68 B+B Goverment rate, having stayed here previously. It is a large comfortable BW hotel with good quality rooms. However, this time we were accommodated in the courtyard- which looks fairly grim from the outside, although the rooms are just as good as in the main block. I was concerned about being placed behind the bar, but had no worries about noise, was it that I stayed in until closing time? The breakfast service is improved from my last stay, as it is a help yourself buffet with a good array of hot and cold items. The plastic key I was given for my room didn't work- so I had to return to reception to get another key issued. Other gripes were a fairly poor TV reception ( also experienced by a work colleague) a very fiddly shower mechanism mounted above the bath taps and immediately behind the pillows a vast selection of electrical sockets - which either is dangerous or uncomfortable if you move around in bed!
As we eat out in KL I can't comment on the food and too much time in the bar ( a good hotel bar - with a large selection of ales) meant I didn't try the pool/gym!
Overall a good comfortable hotel with a good range of facilities, easy to get to set in a quiet location.
