Yes it's a great place to stay relaive to the other outdated local B&B's. But seriously it's more 4* than 5.

The room (deluxe) was spacious - but needed a little updating. The bathroom scored more highly - a lot more modern and slick.

Breakfast is held in what used to be a conference room and not in the rather nice dining area. This was let down as it seemed odd and too crampd and busy. Dinners were delicious, but very expensive for Norfolk, but the most disappointing thing was that it was the same menu 2 nights on the trot!

Relative to a recent spa break at Ragdale Hall, which was only marginally more expensive - I'd go Raggers all day!

Service was very good - very strange manor of manageress who was school maam. Nice touches - homemade biscuits and port each night.

Probably won't stay there again. Would go for Vicoria next time which is in Holkham Bay - magnificent!

We have just stayed at this wonderful hotel, which is within easy reach of the North Norfolk coast.
We stayed on their Diner bed & breakfast deal – what a bargain, the rooms, both public and private are modern and of the very highest quality our room, No 2, was spacious well appointed with a even a play station to go with the flat screen TV, and as for the little touches such as the home made biscuits, decanter of port and a jug of REAL milk in the mini bar for those of use who don’t like UHT it shows that someone cares, and that attention to detail has been passed on to all the staff who are very helpful and attentive.
The bar is comfortable wit a wide range of beers and glasses of wine from £3.75.
What can I say of the food only brilliant!
One tip if you do stay here the only thing to be aware of is that the rooms at the front do suffer from a little traffic noise.

We booked 2 nights at the Kings Head, bed and breakfast and all I can say is WOW! The room was huge, with a superking bed to match, lovely thick cotton sheets, duvets and pillows, and a fabulous luxury bathroom, with fluffy towels, bathrobes and locally produced 'smellies'. The food was wonderful, freshly cooked from locally supplied goods, excellent selection of real ales and wine in the bar, or freshly made coffee in the lounge, and the local area is just lovely (I highly recommend the scrambled eggs with cream and smoked salmon on griddled home made bread for breakfast by the way!). Staff really were totally accommodating, and all in all it couldn't be faulted. The deal was excellent value for money - make sure you shop around on a few booking websites for the best offers! Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Kings Head last night (Tuesday 9th Jan 07) and from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was excellent - just loved the contemporary look.
Suzi was on hand to sort out any niggles ( the fuse was missing from the electric towel heater and no connection for the playstation but immediately rectified.)
We had a few drinks in the bar served by William a great mine host!
Our meal was excellent and my husband particularly liked the glass of port in our room to finish the evening off.
Will we return - yes definitely.
Thanks for a great time.
