Middleham is a really good base to spend a weekend/few days visiting the Yorkshire Dales. the Castle B&B / Restaurant is one of the best value Bed and Breakfasts we have ever stayed in. The hosts are really lovely people and run a joint B&B / Restaurant operation. Each room is furnished differently with a most having a nice view of the square in Middleham. The restaurant is one of the best I have eaten in. Small menu freshly cooked, fantastic atmosphere and just really friendly. Its not at the cheap end with 2 courses being around £22 a person but if you want a nice treat with food that you will not believe then you would have to go a long way to beat this. The breakfast was stunning. Rooms perfect and very clean and room to sit etc. There are a few other pubs etc in middleham to stay and all I think are of a pretty good standard but if you stay at the castle then I think you will return again!!!
