Both my wife and I have stayed at this lovely hotel on four or five occasions over the last year and can recommend it for its high levels of quality service with excellent staff as well as lovely food in the restaurant, looking out over the fine garden . Steve and his wife Sarah really do keep a close eye on everything and are steadily upgrading the lovely old building. The bar is the best local establishment in Newton Stewart and this is evidenced by the locals who use it as well as the residents and visitors from some distance who travel to spend the evenings there. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Creebridge House Hotel earlier this month where we found all the staff to be extremely friendly, courteous, efficient and welcoming.
The food was first class both in the restaurant and in the Brasserie.
Our room was large and well furnished and we found the hotel throughout to be clean, comfortable and gave a very relaxing atmosphere.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

“A birthday treat revisited”

Creebridge House Hotel

I decided to book bed breakfast and evening meal for my husbands birthday in early October. I was informed there was only 1 superior room left and it would be £70 pound instead of £55. I booked the room and we arrived on the 9th October.
We haven't been to the Creebridge for a few years (when Chris was in charge) about 4 years at least. We had reservations because of the change in owners and our memories of staying here in the recent past. We needn't have worried as we had a lovely room and a fantastic meal (the pan fried haunch of venison with a calvados sauce and baby apples WOW). All I can say is new memories are made of this.
The room had a slope but this is part of the charm and character of the house given its age and our bathroom was lovely and clean.
When we checked out the following morning we had only been charged for the £55 room. The new owners were so attentive and really pleased we had enjoyed our stay and the fact that we commented that our memoirs had not been tarnished and that they had added to them as they had made us feel welcome.

“Best hotel in Newton Stewart”

Creebridge House Hotel

I have to admit that I have stopped at this hotel on a number of occasions over the past few years and have generally enjoyed the stay . However I am compelled to write at the moment and praise the new management and staff for their hard work in continuing to produce a very good service and improve on what existed already.
On a recent stop there this month I found the quality of food was very good and clean plates all round told me that my fellow diners felt the same. Before you comment the plates were full so it was not a case of too little in the first place. The wine list was good and a number of reasonable wines were available to choose. The reception staff were excellent, helpful, smiling and friendly everything the weary traveller wants on arrival, the bar staff as at 8 Oct are now just as friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and the en suite was clean & functional with enough toiletries available. All in all if you are on business, a walking holiday in Dumfries and Galloway, a sporting holiday or just passing through I strongly recommend that you try this hotel. Thank you to all at the Creebridge.

A gorgeous hotel that ticked all the boxes. Very high standards and lovely area in Scotland. Great staff and always helpful and cheery - just what you need when you are on holiday away from it all. I can recommend this hotel whole heartedly.
