We recently got married at this gorgeous hotel and i can't stress enough as how wonderful it was. The setting was beautiful as all my guests stongly expressed and all our needs were covered by Sarah who did not hestitate to help us in any way. We were particulary impressed with how welcoming they made our guests feel especially young children. The rooms were very comfortable to stay in and the food was superb. Sarah and her husband Steve have really provided high levels of quality service with a team of excellant staff. It really is the perfect venue to hold a wedding and i would whole heartedly recommend the hotel. You will not be dissapointed!

We stayed here with friends in early May and had a great weekend exploring the area. The hotel is within a very short walking distance of Newton Stewart centre for a bit of shopping, as well as being close to the Galloway Forest for a little more strenuous walking in fabulous scenery and within a short drive of some fabulous beaches such as Mossyard for just chilling out..

The hotel is very dog-friendly and dogs are allowed in most parts of the hotel with the exception of the dining room. There is even a short dog-walk through the grounds. My partner and I stayed in room 5 which is a very large corner room with two sofas, overlooking the gardens and the hotel driveway. Whilst I'm not sure about the standard of the other rooms in the hotel, I would definately book that room again and would recommend it to others. If I did have a slightly negative comment, it was that whilst the decor of the bedroom had a nice feel and was very contemporary, the bathroom was decorated in a completly different style and out of keeping with the room, giving the impression that it had been forgotten about by the decorators.

We booked full-board and the food was also of a very good standard both in the dining room and the bistro area. The wine list was also very good and reasonably priced.

The hotel is obviously popular as we tried to book again for a long weekend in August and it was fully booked on several weeklends we tried - so book early!

“Fantastic staff make for a great hotel”

Creebridge House Hotel

I've stayed at the Creebridge twice and found, on both occasions, that the staff and management are extremely kind, helpful and efficient. They are cheerful and polite and go to great lengths to make sure that guests enjoy their stay (thanks to Kenny in the bar who deserves a special mention). On the whole the food is good and the rooms are comfortable. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly and look forward to my next stay.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, so that we could look at the local fishing on the Rivers Cree and Bladnoch.
We could not believe the quality of the food - they have a magnificent young chef, called Craig McWilliam and the dinners were just amazingly good.
The family running the hotel were friendly and cheerful, as were all their staff. The bedrooms varied a bit - ours was a little oldfashioned but comfortable, but our friends bedroom was larger and more modern.
We would recommend it and will hope to visit it again ourselves.

I stayed with friends who had recommended this hotel as they stay here overnight when taking the ferry to Ireland.
The main reception rooms have been re-furbished and are in stunning heritage colours. The roaring log fires were a delight throughout the day and evening.
Our friends always request room 5 and I couldn't agree with them more, it was lovely. The bedrooms were very pleasant but the central heating was inadequate. However a convector heater was in my room which ensured a comfortable environment. I understand the bedrooms and bathrooms are to be re-furbished in time. This would be good as the showers were over the bath and not very powerful. Larger bath towels would be welcome!!
We had our evening meals there for 4 nights. For me the choices were good but one of our party is a vegetarian and this can prove to be difficult with the lack of choice for them. The wine list is excellent.
Our friends are familiar with the area and took us to some lovely places. Steve and Sarah were welcoming and helpful as indeed all of the staff we met were. I'm sure we will return.
The winter deals are very good value.
