We stayed two nights in this Ayacucho hotel which is considered the best hotel in town.
The hotel has an excellent location just 2 minutes out of Ayacucho main square. It has a garage for cars which is great since Ayacucho has limited parking options.
The staff was friendly, but not very competent, in my opinion.
Room was nice and spacious, but very dark. The bathroom was old, with hot water, however.
Breakfast was very nice, great, fresh local bread with local jelly. However, the coffee was not very good, it was definitely Nescafe which is not decent for a world-wide famous coffee producing country.
A bad thing is that no credit cards are accepted, they won´t even let you pay in $, only Soles accepted. Thankfully, there are many exchange offices located at the main square of Ayacucho.
As said in the title, the hotel in overall is very nice, but you won´t catch a good nights sleep. At about 5am every day, the staff starts cleaning out the patio making terrible noises that all the hotel hears. They even at this hour turn the water fountain on. Everybody in this hotel wakes up at 5am. It´s good if you want to take a trip, but keep in mind that breakfast is served from 7am.
A good thing, on the other hands, is that rooms have wi-fi internet, but they turn it on at 7am and turn it off at 9pm. No chances of getting internet out of these hours.
Overall, a good choice, but not ideal.
