The prince hotel looked nice at first glance. we were with a whole group of other french people and arrived in the dead of the night. got a garland of flowers, all smiles and dances, and then saw the room and freaked (no double bed, not good for couples, and no fussing would get us one). view was ok, bed room relatively clean, but bathroom a nightmare... actually the water from the taps was salty, slightly brownish, and barely hot at all... It was horrible to feel unwashed after a shower.
Staff were unhelpful and unsmiling (maybe because we were a couple of young students, not Wallstreet newlyweds boasting rolexes, though in the latter case god knows why we would stay in such a place)
Pool was very nice and clean, beaches alright except completely rocky once in the water, great for slicing feet open!
COol activities though, waterskiing etc... which were not included but did make the trip a bit better on the whole (good adrenaline rush to be dragged by a powerboat for a few minutes).
meals were abundant but not fantastic, and repeated most nights. DIdn't go hungry, but actually ate out most lunches as Tunisia has some real good cheap cuisine (tuna brik i recomend)
Got a massage and subsequent rash. great innit.
It was, i must say, relatively cheap on the whole so i can't complain that much, but it felt a lot cheaper than what we paid.
And departure at 3AM was a nightmare all the way through.
