I stayed there 2 nights on a tour in mid-May when the weather in this part of Myanmar is hot and dry. The resort is very nice with two swimming pools and spacious rooms however most rooms are very far from the dining area and the main building. This resort has a definite AC problem - probably not enough current for the demand. The result is the AC is off more than on and even when it is on; it is not putting out really cool air. So if you go there during the hot time of the year, expect to be hot day and night - in the room or outside. There is only WIFI in the main building and it is not very reliable. Finally, let me add that this resort is owned by a relative (son-in-law I believe) of the notorious Senior General Than Shwe, who is head of the brutal military regime that has committed so many atrocities since the military gained power in Myanmar. This son-in-law has made fortunes by illegal land acquisitions, nationalizing private property, and selling these acquisitions to foreign countries- primarily China. He then uses the money to buy guns, tanks, and jet fighters for his father-in-law, the Senior General. Some travel companies refuse to stay at the resort for this reason even though it is the most luxurious in the region.
If you go during the hot season, make sure your room has a working AC unit
