“The best ever?”

I have visited before, it has changed hands and it is now better than ever! Dominic and Diana try so hard to make you welcome. The hotel is situated in a very small and beautiful village at the top of the village. There is a small square and a copule of small bars and shops and otherwise just peace!

The hotel is quite small with lovely rooms which overlook a courtyard and a shaded terrace for better weather.

The food - and we are vegetarian which is not a good idea in France - was fabulous. Diana [who does the cooking] says she is not trained but many chefs could take lessons from her.

There is an amazing wine list from about 28 Euros [we had some] to 470 Euros for some Chateau Yquem [we did not]

We recently stayed at the Lyon d'Or and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms and ambiance are beautiful, the food excellent, and above all the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. When you combine this with the beauty of the village itself, this is a real find for a tranquil rest.

Friendly welcome.
Great service.
Beautiful courtyard and interior of the hotel.
Some rooms newly refurbished.
Food wine and service excellent.
Would thoroughly recomend this for anyone looking for good accomodation and food in a very beautiful village.
An excellent find.
