Per a prior review, I would agree that the staff is pretty casual and the sharpness of other hotel systems is not here but my stay was fine. All staff members were helpful. Hotel is a bit worn at the edges but the room was large and comfortable.

Breakfast area was well taken care of and with an adequate array of choices including freshly prepared scrambled eggs from an actual kitchen. Good.

Some years ago, Doubletree bought out most of the Red Lions.
These properties were very deluxe for the most part. Current Red Lions are run of the mill as is this one but in a few locations you can still find a great Red Lion that Doubletree did not take over.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was very casual, wearing polo shirts and talking to each other and not looking you in the eye. Room was average at best. Did have a microwave and fridge added in made it better. Was clean but the common areas! Yuck! The maids cart was left in the hall all night was still there in the morning with dirty crap on it. The couches looked like something someone threw out on the side of the road. Old gross carpet.

I guess you ghet what you pay for....

The Red Lion Hotel was a pleasant experience. We chose this hotel as they accepted our reservation traveling with 2 dogs. The room was large and nice; however the rooms had a slight odor to them. (Maybe just a closed up smell). The service was nice from the staff and the hotel was spacious.

It's situated a few miles of the centre,but is very comfortable,rooms clean and large.The pool is a must!!!
