The Greek Theater is a decent place to see a concert, but there are a few things you need to know. First is that parking is not easy. I have the best luck finding parking north of the venue but you still need to allow at least 40 minutes to find parking and walk to the venue. Second, if you are in the main seating area the stone you are sitting on gets very uncomfortable, so bring something soft to sit on. If you are up in the grass, note that the grass area is VERY steep and you may find yourself sliding down the hill. If you were thinking of bringing anything slick to sit on (plastic sheet, space blanket, etc), forget it. You and it will slide down the hill as if you were sledding down a snowy hillside. Other than that, the venue has good sound. The view from the grassy area with the Bay Bridge and city lights down below at sunset is amazing. If you're in Berkeley and there is not a show going on, it is still worth wondering over to have a look.
