“Good but not GREAT”

This should really be 3.5 instead of 4. This was the last hotel of 5 on a Vegas/California trip and this was probably the only one I was slightly disappointed with. It was beautiful and clean, so no complaints there. And I am quite a bit anal, I know, but after 4 hotels with nice white duvet covers, this hotel had the 2 white sheets with the comforter sandwiched in the middle. Well, I couldnt sleep b/c, #1 the bed was uncomfortable, #2 I was afraid the comforter would peak around the corner and touch me. This hotel is too fancy and expensive to not have a nice, tucked IN duvet.

We arrived at the hotel and everygthing was wrong although we called the day before to confirm. I asked to speak with a manager (Will) and he was rude and not very helpful at all plus had to remind him of my name three times. the placed our bags in storage and told us to go out for an hour although we were told it would be okay to check in a hour before whne calling from the airport. Once we got to our room and saw no view and looking at a building six six away an dthen over and allyway with trash cans. we were not pleased. Once moved we where placed facing the drive way which tends to be very loud up until 2-3am. both rooms seemed to be out dated and the lamp shades were all bent, not to mention the stained sofa. After being sent to the room no one ever asked us again how we were doing even when we went to the front desk to ask for help (Will) acted like he never saw us before and asked out names again (only second day). We notice that the hotel does not permit the use of the lobby area for relaxing and has removed all but four side chairs in all our the common areas. was very difficult to fellowship with our guest. We would not ever go back to the three star hotel again whenfor the money there is a Pennisula just a few steps away which is Five Star and Five Diamond for the same price.
We checked out nad moved there, the Pennisula was GREAT hotel all around.

This four Seasons hotel is an amazing hotel that was so beautiful. From the minute we pulled into the driveway, we received the kind of help you would think from a 5 star property. We were taken on tour of the hotel by an escort so we could see all the hotel has to offer. They had an amazing spa which was very relaxing. The lobby had a large marble table in the middle of the room with fresh bouquets of exotic flowers each day. The pool was oversized and spectacular. The rooms were a little small but very comfortable. The beds and pillows were amazing and some of the softest I have slept on. What's best about this hotel is that its in the most perfect location if you want to see the sites of LA. Its directly in Beverly Hills on Rodeo drive so shopping is across the street. West Hollywood where all the hot shops are is about 5 minutes away. Santa Monica and the beaches are about 10- 15 minutes away. The "Hollywood" sign is about 20 minutes away, its approximately 20 minutes from downtown LA and about a half hour away from Pasadena. It was just about the best place to stay if visiting LA.

“Not 5 star and Very Overpriced.”

The negative reviews really are spot on.

1. The hotel has plenty of rooms but feels very small. Reason for this is that there are very little communal areas. There is no proper tranquil lobby that you can sit in and maybe just have a coffee or to just sit there as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. There are three restaurants, two of which are very very loud and busy. That is basically all the communal areas.

2. The concirge lost our luggage which is unsurprising with the amount of chaos going on in the car port.

3. The hotel rooms were the biggest disappointment (and we were even moved). They had bland magnolia walls (as are the hallways), with pictures badly hung, a huge tv screen that looks ridiculous, cigarette burns in the carpet of a non smoking room etc Huge, huge disappointment.

Spend your money going somewhere else.

“Wonderful Stay...Beautiful Hotel”

Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel)

I just returned from a fabulous stay at the Beverly Wilshire. This hotel is very classy, the rooms are a nice size and the lobby areas are elegant and welcoming. My husband and I were there on a business trip, however we had some time to check out the hotel and the surroundings. I did go out to the pool and it is very relaxing. The pool staff was there to greet me and bring a towel, and Fiji water right when I sat down. I ordered a tuna tar tar salad that was to die for and even though it was a $23 salad it was excellent and very large. The beds in our room were wonderful. I didn't want to get up in the mornings. I loved the large tub in the bathroom. The plush robes and slippers are always a plus after a nice hot bath. There were many celebirties coming and going. Wolfgang Puk just opened his new restaurant there called The Cut. We saw Bruce Willis go in two nights in a row, plus Jena Davis was there as well.
As for items in the room. My husband enjoyed the large plasma tv, the mini bar was stocked with yummy items. Coffee is available in the lobby every morning as well as a few small muffins. Fresh fruit is always on the check in counters and a few evenings they even had cookies and coffee set out for an evening snack. You can't go wrong with this wonderful Four Season's hotel. I loved the Beverly Wilshire. We will be staying there again soon
