I just returned today from a glorious two night stay at the BHH. And get ready because this is going to be a long read because I dont want to leave ANYTHING OUT! I have never EVER been so impressed with a hotel in my life. Now mind you I am a small town girl who is not used to being in the lap of luxery.. However I do travel often and I have champagne taste and a beer budget so I look for deals to stay at the best I can afford and am a seasoned traveler. I read reviews all the time before I make my choices of hotels and have never been inclined to write one myself. HOWEVER.. this stay was different than any I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy or afford. This was a spur of the moment trip to visit with a friend who happens to live in BH and he made the arrangements.. I had no Idea I was even staying there until we drove up the long BEAUTIFUL palm tree lined drive. I have never ever EVER seen anything more amazing! Now..mind you my gentlemen friend is quite well off and money is no object however he is not famous and no one would know that so we are basicly nobodys however..I was treated like Royalty! From the moment you get out of your car,..walk up the red carpet into the gorgeous lobby you are greeted with friendly respect and courtsey. I have no clue how they quickly knew me by name in the 30 second period it took for me to get out of the car to the registration desk but I was greeted by name each and every time. There was NO PART of this hotel I did not get to partake in or enjoy.. starting with my room. I had the breakfast in Beverly Hills package which gave me what they call a Deluxe room. This is not even a Suite there and was largest Hotel room I have ever seen! It was absolutley stunning! From the California King Canopy Bed to the ENORMOUS and beautiful Marble bathroom with seperate shower and toilet closet and of course who can forget the MAGNIFICENT tub with I think i had the best bubble bath of my life in! The HUGE wonderful walk in closet with dresser and Robes and Slippers waiting for me was Great! I could have stayed in my room the entire time and been just fine with that! When you check in you are asked what time you would like your maid service so you dont have anyone bugging you all morning knocking on the door. Your choice of 4 different newspapers for the morning And what time you would like turn down service. We went out to dinner that night so I told them around 7pm. We had a light lunch in the downstairs diner which was great..try the coleslaw its great! When I came back to the room my things I had kind of left strewn about due to my rush to leave were all picked up, My bed was turned down, the lights were on dim and the beautiful stereo was on a lovely station turned low. Cookies on my night stand and my breakfast in bed options ready for me to choose. It was fantastic. The next morning my breakfast was brought over promplty and it was DELICIOUS. I hightly recommend the tenderloin of beef and eggs. The steak was very thick and cook perfectly! It was so good I had the same thing both mornings! hehe I had decided late in the evening on Sunday night that because I was going to be on my own for the next day for quite awhile I would take up my gentlemen friends offer to partake in any of the hotel services I wanted so my first plan was to go to the spa and have a pedicure. I called the Concierge assuming the spa woud be closed as it was 10;30 to ask if they could schedule my appts in the morning. To my shock and suprise I was told the Spa was still open and they promptly transfered me. I then requested my treatment which was the Silver Tipped French Pedicure package and was told that unfortunatly the person that did that was booked all day but the would see what they could do. It was late so they asked me what time the following day If it WAS possiable I would like my treatment and I told them as I didnt want to rush in the morning that I would like to do it around noon. I was then told I would be called the following morning if they could do anything or there was a cancellation. After a wonderful night sleep in one of the most comfortable beds in my life I recieved a call at 8:30am and told that they called another person on their day off and they agreed to come in just for me! [--]?? people dont do that for me..hehe But at the BHH apparently Nothing is impossiable! After my beautiful breakfast in bed I went to my appointment and it was the best pedicure of my life! The hot rocks were a wonderul treat! I then moved over to the salon where I had scheduled a full set of acrylic nails. After walking in on the spur of the moment I wondered out loud if it would be possiable without an appt to add in a wash, dry and style for my hair as well. I was told not a problem! Now as a girl from a small town I would assume that would elongate my time in the salon by at least an hour.. imagine my suprise as I was moved over to the sink for my wash and scalp massage the nail girl moved her table right over and started working on my nails at the same time! So I really felt like a movie star now! My nails and hair were done simotaniously! Daniel who is an Adorable and sadly married chap from London did a fantastic job..especially since the nail girl had me turned around and he had to contort his poor body around to get at my head...hehe. I went down to the pool area between my treatments at the spa and saloon just to check it out as the weather has not been the greatest but I wanted to smoke and I was greeted by a cabana boy immediatly offering to set up a lounge chair for me! The following day I decided to have my breakfast in the Polo lounge to see what all the hype was about and to say I had eaten there, the food was delcious and the service impecciable. I then used the hotels courtasey limo to take me down to Rodeo Drive to do a bit of shopping and kill time until I had to leave for LAX. The driver was prompt and on the ball and very accomdating. When I was ready to come back I called the number he had given me and he was there to pick me up in I swear maybe only 7 minutes or less! Oh..and I did see some celebritys also. Dr. Phil was staying there..this happend to be the days that he was trying to go help Brittney Spears which I didnt know when I saw him until the news that night AND..when we came back from dinner on monday night we saw Gary Marshell waiting for the Valet and saying goodbye to what seemed like some family members .. So thats it! My FANTASTIC PHENOMINAL WONDERFUL AMAZING two night stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel! I have read a few other reveiws of people who had a few minor incidents that I think could happen at any hotel or they were being spoiled and pissy..but I am telling you I am spoiled for life and I NEVER EVER want to stay anywhere else! If you ever have a chance please do! You will not regret it! Oh and one other tip..if you need a choice for dinner outside the hotel.. We went to a place called Maestros! OMG! I is very very pricy however I had the best seafood meal of my life there and the steaks are phenominal was well so try it you wont regret it!!
