My husband and I were looking for a reasonable priced hotel near knotts berry farm on March 24, 2007. The hotels in this area are worn & many are remodeling. We pulled into the Pioneer Motel & it looked ok on the outside & was only $50/night so we decided to stay. Upon going upstairs to our room, we noticed the stairs moved under our feet. When we opened the door to our room, my husband said it smelled like stale urine. I took 1 look at the double bed which was supposed to be a king and it looked dirty. I pulled back the bedspread and 1 pillow was missing the case & was covered in yellow stains. I pulled back the sheets & they were stained & had food between them. The blanket had a very questionable stain on it & needed washing. The floor dipped in the center. I turned on the shower & it didn't drain. The faucet leaked & water was all over the counter, & we didn't even turn it on. We immediately went back to the office & demanded a full refund. DO NOT STAY HERE...SPEND THE EXTRA $$$ FOR PEACE OF MIND AND COMFORT!!! Filthy motel do not recommend at all!!
