This hotel is located in an area that is within walking distance from excellent restaurants, shops, and services. We ate at the Mexican Restaurant next door on the first night because they were open late, at the cafe across the street, and at the historic Bob's Big Boy. There is generally one person at the check-in, but they are nice and efficient. The pool is small, but clean and inviting. Parking was not a problem. We had a pass and parked in the alley behind the hotel. They have delicious pastries from a Cuban bakery every morning, but be sure to ask if you don't see but one type, or if they are down to the last pastry. We didn't know to ask on the first day, and my kids tried to scrape out the guava. The next day, we discovered there were delicious chocolate chip muffins (in a box behind the desk) spinach pastries, chocolate and regular croissants, and others that were not out, and were not mentioned, even though the girl heard us trying to figure out how to solve the "unwanted fruit" problem with the kids. The coffee/latte machine is wonderful, and you can visit the lobby at any time of day and get hot chocolate, coffee, express, latte, etc. with the push of a button. The room was clean and well-maintained. They rooms are small, but well-decorated, as each has it's own modern design. We had one with blue and purple modern design and butterflies, etc. A minus is that we were on the second floor and had large suitcases (For our drive all across the US and back) that had to be carried up to the room. I was so very tired from driving over 10 hours that day that I almost fell twice on the outdoor steps trying to get my bag to the room. The desks are nice and have plenty of room to work, and the lighting is good. There is a large mirror in the room. I stayed for several nights with my two children, and it was very quiet and safe. It was the second most expensive hotel on our journey from Tennessee to California and back, (even more than the Mirage, Las Vegas), being only behind a Bed and Breakfast in Albuquerque, but we only spent one night there. We enjoyed our stay, and the location is excellent for the studios (NBC, Warner Bros., Disney) and nice restaurants. I also found a nice salon (Crystal Nail Spa) just down the street where Lisa is a professional at threading eyebrows (my first time with this) and they also have manicures, pedicures, etc. with 10% off brochures outside of the salon. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay, and since we were there to visit friends working in the Burbank area, it was very convenient.
Ask for first floor if you don't want to have to drag your suitcases upstairs.
