Reading other reviews I noticed that the shuttle bus stops at 11 p.m. and I couldn’t find this on the website of this Hampton Hotel. I had already made a reservation, so to make sure I mailed this hotel twice. I never received a reply! I had to mail the Hilton service desk and they answered me that there is indeed no shuttle after 11 p.m. As the hotel itself didn’t answer my request of information I was really worried about the service of this Hampton.
We arrived around midnight and a taxi brought us to the hotel (for 12 US). Check-in went smooth and quickly by a very friendly and forthcoming woman (cannot remember her name, but she had some Chinese looks). We were given a nice King studio suite.
The room was spacious and had a wet bar with a sink, coffee/tea facilities, refrigerator and microwave. There was a sofa with table and a working desk with chair. Everything was clean and comfortable. The following morning we had a fantastic view of the bay and airport from our room. Always nice to see planes land and take off. There was some noise, but not disturbing at all. (We had a very good night sleep.)
Breakfast was amazing; this was the best breakfast we had ever had in a Hampton hotel. Many things extra, such as a wide variety in yoghurts, not only fruit salad but also large bowls of kiwis and grapes. There were many sauces, salsa, peppers and so on and all kinds of butters, such as peanut and almond. The business center has two computers and printers for free use.
In the morning the shuttle bus had to go to two other hotels, but it was still in a very reasonable time before we were dropped at the airport. From there we took the airport train to the car rental office.
After two weeks we had a second stay in this hotel, this time we had a two Queens room at the back, with view on some businesses. It was also a nice room, with a comfortable chair, a working desk with chair and a unit with refrigerator and microwave. The hotel has a small shop were I could buy some frozen dinners. There is also a laundry, very handy and not expensive. You can buy the (liquid) soap at the front desk and using the washer and dryer is only 75 cents each.
Unfortunately there is no pool or any other outside terrace. It will be nice if there would be some kind of arrangement with other Hilton family hotels in the neighborhood to use their pools or sun beds.
In all we found this a great hotel with comfortable rooms, good breakfast and very friendly staff during both our stays. (But I do hope they will answer their mails with request for information in the future.) Special thanks and compliments for the assistance of the woman with the ‘Chinese’ looks. In the morning of our second stay we met her again and she was again very friendly and gave us good directions to a gas station and the airport car return.
