I stayed here during a business trip the last week of March 2008 (3 nights). This was the third time that I visited this hotel in the past year.

The overall quality of the property is average. The hotel is clean and serves a good (hot and cold) breakfast (included in your room price). Service was good. Rooms were clean. They offer free internet service. A good inexpensive place to stay for a couple of days. There is a very large (attractive) shopping mall accross the street. Also, serveral restaurants are nearby.

I stayed here about ten times over the course of several years. I was able to watch it go steadily downhill.

At first it fit the bill, reasonable rate, good room, nice breakfast and good service. As time went by the rooms started to fall apart, wallpaper peeling off the walls, mold in the corners and lacking in service.

The WiFi coverage was just terrible, for all practical purposes you're better off with dial up.

The only good news is the location, fantastic shopping at the Commons and a short walk to old Calabasas and the Saturday Market.

Our experience at this hotel was extrordinarily disappointing. Upon our arrival(around 3PM), there was no one at the front desk. We ultimately had to wait several minutes before someone aknowledged our presence at the front desk. The attitude of the gentleman who did finally check us in was as though we were interrupting him.

Upon arriving in our room, we found that the TV did not work. The light at the door entrance did not work and the metal stopper for the bath tub was in the middle of the bath tub.

When we returned from an evening out, we discovered that our bathroom was covered in ants!!!

When we checked out in the morning, we attempted to express our displeasure and were COMPLETELY blown off.

There are better places to stay in Calabasas.

I found the Country Inn very run down, motel like. The carpet in the room looks cheap and is stained. There is grime around the faucet in the bathroom. When I opened the shower, rust and bugs came out, not to mention there were ants in the room too. I made sure to where slippers around the room because the room felt dirty to me. I was booked for 4 nights but only stayed 2 as I didn't want to stay there any longer, and found a different hotel to stay at. I would not recommend this hotel.
