I know to some this may seems silly, but I'm defiantly never staying at Hilton Garden Inn Calabasas

We canceled Hilton Garden Inn Calabasas reservation a month before going to California (we initially booked through a travel agent). A week before the trip to Cali, we checked Hilton.com and we had Hilton reservations at several properties, but none for Calabasas. The week came and went (they always seem to go to quickly when your on vacation) and then we got billed for a stay in Calabasas.

I called to enquire about the charge. The gentleman I spoke with was firm (but courteous) that they did not receive any cancellation from Hilton and that's why we were charged. So off I go to call Hilton HHonors - and HHonors says they'll call the hotel and try to work something out.

As a courteous I call back the gentleman I spoke with to tell him HHonors may be calling, and he said they already called and I have to speak with the property manager (she was out). I then came to find out that my wife called and tried to speak with the manager, and she never called her back, and when they did speak the property manager was very rude to my wife (borderline hateful).

Much to my surprise when I called she seemed courteous at first, and then mentioned that some incompetent travel agent called trying to get the "no show" fee reversed. At this point I'm not sure if she's hateful to all women, or people that she thinks are travel agents.

After she repeatedly lectured me that I should have canceled (preaching to the choir), and stated that the hotel won't do anything - even though I DID cancel and myself and associates have stayed there numerous times over the past few years.

I have a hard time dealing with rude/hateful people - especially toward my wife, and on top of that, not refunding one measly nights stay defiantly has cost them my business, and hopefully others....

Enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. The best part about the hotel was the area- it felt very safe. Didn’t worry about my car in the parking lot overnight and I could walk around the area alone. The hotel is right next door to the Calabasas Commons – just about a 5 minute walk to your right as you exit the hotel. Some nice restaurants, boutiques and a Starbucks.
Hotel was quiet. Very convenient to anyone on business in Calabasas or Woodland Hills-just hop right on the highway. Pool looked small but I didn’t try it out. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for a family function. At check in the staff was very polite. The first morning we were there we left our room at 9 a.m. and returned at 2p.m to an unclean room. That was disappointing because we were looking forward to resting a few hours with the kids before we had to be at another outing. We had to call the front desk and ask them to have our room cleaned. While it was being cleaned we had to sit downstairs with 2 children in tow. That did not leave us with enough time to relax in our room before we were off again. The 2nd morning we left at 10 a.m. and returned at 3 p.m. to another unclean room. We needed to shower for another function, however, that's the time they wanted to clean our room since they told us housekeeing goes home at 4. We told them they would have to wait for our family to shower and get ready before they could clean. They did accomodate us and stayed late to do that, which was the right thing to do.

The breakfast buffet was great! There was something for everyone in my family. The staff all the way around was very pleasant.

When we returned home, my husband realized he left a pair of dress slacks in the room. I called and they sent the slacks Fed Ex. on their dime.

All in all, the hotel was very nice, very clean, the staff was very accomodating, the breakfast was great! The only thing I would complain about is the lack of time for the housekeeping.

I would stay at this hotel again.

Typical garden inn. Very nice and new but nothing fancy. Would stay there again for business.
