Our stay at the Foothill House B&B was perfect in every way. Darla welcomed us with comfort and little extras, like her cookies and cold bottled water in our room. The breakfasts were served hot each morning and the weather was so perfect we ate outside on our private patio, with the background waterfall. Darla also provided us with tips for our vacation wine visits and dinners each evening, many which we would not have choosen had she not taken the time to learn what we liked and point us in the right direction. Her travel guidance added more wonderful memories to our Napa trip. She is a hostess that cares about her guests.

After calling around to several places, we contacted the Foothill House and Darla provided us with a vacation that was more than we could ask for. While my fiance was talking to Darla I was reading the trip advisory reviews about her and her B&B and was so impressed. Every review was right on!

The cottage was absolutely amazing, the pictures did not say enough about the property. Each of the rooms were wonderful and very clean. Darla is about the sweetest most helpful innkeeper a person/couple could ask for. Her son was extremely polite and helpful, as well. As we entered our room we devoured her cookies that lay on the pilows waiting for us. Each morning breakfast was hand delivered in a picnic basket and everything was amazing, my favorite was the eggs benedict and the fruit crisp. At five o'clock each evening, it was wine hour where you can meet and greet the other guests at the Inn while sipping on Darla's choice of wine apps. Some of the best winerys we went to were by her reccomendation and she knows Calistoga like the back of her hand. We are already talking about our next trip back out there and have told all of our friends and family about the Foothill House and Darla. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast, it is truly more than you could ask for!

The Foothill House is a gem with a great location. The grounds and rooms are beautiful and the location is ideal - close to downtown Calistoga, redwood trees, Mt. St. Helena, wineries, horseback riding, and the ocean. The rooms are cozy and stocked daily with plenty to do on those quiet Napa nights - movies, sherry, wood-burning fireplace, music - all replaced daily in your very room! Darla, the hostess and owner, takes pride in her amazing and decadent breakfasts (served directly to your room in a picnic basket, still warm from the kitchen) and ability to help plan the perfect Napa day.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Evergreen Room. A beautiful, well kept room with canopy bed, fireplace, reading alcove , whirlpool tub and picture window overlooking private garden. The breakfasts were fantastic and creative. Darla is a charming hostess and makes you feel like a family member. We had a great time touring the area, tasting wine and visiting the local attractions. For a relaxing stay for couples...I would highly recommend staying here.
