My fiancee and I decided to get away for the weekend and found Foothill House via the internet. We booked a room and when we arrived it was just wonderful. Not only is the landscaping great, our little cottage was very nice and homey. The complete stay was so relaxing my finacee did not want to leave. We got served breakfast in our room and the little gathering in the "sunroom" for wine and cheese was a great way to meet new friends. All in all, a fantastic getaway!

My husband and I spent two days in the Foothill House in Calistoga on a recent trip to California. We found this B&B absolutely charming. The innkeeper Darla thinks of every little detail...from the delicious hot breakfast brought to our room each morning to the cookies and sherry left in your room for the evening. We would definitely recommend this to travellers who prefer a cozy, friendly experience rather than an impersonal hotel.

We've recently stayed for 2 nights at The Foothill House in Calistoga in The Lupine Suite. Darla (the owner) was a delight. She couldn't have been more friendly and helpful with her choice of vineyards to visit, the accommodation was first class and very comfortable. The luxurious breakfasts that she cooks and delivers personally in a wicker basked to each suite were sublime! She also provides wine tasting and nibbles between 5 and 6pm for guests that wish to partake. Just wish we could have stayed longer at this peaceful oasis. Thoroughly recommended for a restful stay

Foothill House is wonderful. The cottage accomodations were superb. Wonderful jacuzi tub that looks out to beautiful waterfall and gardens. The breakfasts are brought to your door and the food was delicious. Darla, the innkeeper, truly knows how to impress her guests and make them feel special.
My sisters and I were celebrating together and can't say enough about this wonderful place in a very special location in Calistoga.
