In August 2011, I wrote a favorable review of Linn's. Just today returned from another trip to Cambria. Had hoped to have breakfast at Linn's all three mornings but for a couple of different reasons, was only able to get there once. (My loss.)
I ordered the "Little Bit of Everything Good" breakfast entree. Their blend of iced tea was delectable. The service was impeccable. The sausage was very flavorful and not greasy. The cantalope (part of the fruit cup) was perhaps the best cantalope I've ever had -- sweet and full of flavor. The whole wheat and honey pancake was terrific; I love the texture of whole wheat pancakes. Add the scrambled egg and the "Little Bit of Everything Good" breakfast is the perfect size. I left comfortable (not overly full) and was satisfied until lunch.
My only complaint: Linn's doesn't open until 8:00 A.M. My friend and I had planned to have breakfast at Linn's this morning before heading back home (Nevada) but we arrived at 7:00 and didn't want to wait around for an hour; we were anxious to "hit the road." We grabbed pastries from The French Connection. Not only did we not get to have a civilized and yummy Linn's breakfast, but I wasn't able to buy an ollalaberry muffin, which I had hoped to bring home for my husband. It'd be great if Linn's would either open earlier than 8:00 or at least offer a drive-through option for their baked goods.
