If you want fresh fish, this is a fine place for lunch. It is literally a fish market, where you can buy all sorts of fish by the pound. But they cook virtually everything they sell, and do a nice job with it.
This is a small restaurant located in a shopping mall near a Ralph's supermarket. It's not exactly the place you'd expect to find the best food, but allow yourself to be surprised.
We ordered New England-style clam chowder and found it to be peppery but very good. We each had`steamers -- pricey at $8+ for a bowl of littlenecks, and they were willing to prepare them New England style -- cooked in broth rather than in garlic. As we waited for our food, we saw lots of happy folks enjoying other fish dishes, including fish sandwiches. Everything looked fresh and well-prepared.
The young people who wait on tables are friendly and enthusiastic. They have a useful website that makes you want to visit.
