Upon the recommendation of friends, I took my husband here for his birthday last night. We did not have a reservation, but they were very nice and accommodated us at a table in the center of the dining area. (Booths flank both sides).
The windows are blacked out and there are large stained glass windows that change color gradually throughout the night. The decor is lovely in the Craftsman style.
Our server (Henry) was fabulous, attentive, and informative. As stated in other reviews, the food servings are large enough to share. Each entree comes with 2 sides that you choose off of a list. The creamed corn was delicious.
There were 3 of us, 2 adults and a 10 year old. The bill came to over $300. Although I was happy to pay that considering the good experience, delicious food, nice presentation, etc. My husband and I both felt the steaks at Ruth Chris are better.
Additionally, as stated in other reviews, the bar area is off to the side of the "fine dining" area. The large flat screen TV faces the entire room and I found it a blot on the environment. It was distracting and noisy. Otherwise, this would be the perfect romantic dinner place.
Our waiter, was very attentive and appropriately respectful to our child. Here's a child who has travelled the world and sometimes waiters treat her like a clueless kid. This waiter spoke directly to her, and she was quite pleased with the entire dinner event.
Overall I would say - if they lose the TV and seclude the bar - it would be a perfect restaurant.
