The Horizon Inn was reasonably nice; the room was clean and well maintained and that was really it. We unfortunately had neither an ocean view or a horizon view; our view was a six foot wall and even when you stood on the patio chair (which I dont think you should do!) all you could see was the roof of the house next door to the hotel. We could also hear every single footstep the people in the room above us took.

Breakfast was pretty much a disaster; cereal that was tasteless, and pastries that tasted and felt like they were more than a couple of days old. The fruit and orange juice were better though, but its hard to go wrong with either of these. As soon as we were showered and dressed we went out for breakfast.

Personally I wouldnt stay here again, but if all you're looking for is a place to lay your head at night, then you have your ideal inn.

This place is not so great. We read all the reviews and were excited about staying there. We stayed in an ocean view room. It did have an ocean view, but the ocean is really far way, and you have to overlook all the roof tops. You walk into the room, and for the price, the decor just gives you the feeling that they're cutting corners. For breakfast, they definitely skimped. We got a continental breakfast with our package, and they gave us milk that was about a week over the expiration date. Yuck! All the pastries tasted old. I'm less than satisfied with the Inn.

I really enjoyed staying at this Inn. We stayed here the end of September this past year and we were able to upgrade our room upon check-in and loved the spacious room with the fireplace and ocean views we were put in. Cute breakfast basket in the morning, although not too hearty, but I loved to eat breakfast out on the balcony. Very nice Inn staff and a very clean place. We'll be back!

We stayed at the Ocean View Lodge. We loved it and will go back again on our next trip to Carmel.
The cottage was very spacious and having a kitchen was wonderful!
Great housekeeping staff too!
Wonderful service, and only a few blocks from the main drag!
