This motel was booked directly over the phone with the motel. The reservationist sold us a 2nd floor ocean view room (1st dishonest statement). As this was our 25 year anniversary, we were very excited to stay in a small beach town in a motel with an ocean view. Upon arriving, we were given our room #118 on the first floor although our check-in paperwork stated room #120 (2nd dishonest statement). On checking the view from the 1st floor, it definately was not the room that we were sold. On returning to the front desk and explaining what we were sold, the check in clerk stated that the 1st floor room was the room that was sold and there were no other rooms available (3rd dishonest statement). After some conversation, it was determined that there were other rooms available. We were then allowed to look at the alternate room which the check in clerk stated had a partial ocean view (4th dishonest statement). It actually overlooked the motel next door although if you stood at the railing on the small patio you could see the ocean. We returned to the front desk and stated that the room was not acceptable and we were told that we would still have to pay for the room even though it was not the room that was sold to us. I was then told that I would have to speak with the manager on the following Tuesday and was given a business card of the supposed manager. Upon asking the check in clerk's name, it was the same name on the business card (5th dishonest statement). On questioning the receptionist about the coincidence, she then stated that the card she gave to us was her card and reluctantly gave us the manager's card. Since that interaction, I have spoken with the manager who refused to listen to our account of events and would not credit our account for the incorrect booking. Should you decide to stay at this motel, be aware that the customer does not come first with this establishment and dishonesty is their policy. We do not recommend this business/motel not for its location but for its poor customer relations - BUYER BEWARE.

We welcome all comments regarding our property because we are confident of the service that we provide. We regret that this matter could not be resolved t the guest satisfaction.I do believe it was miscommunication with this individual. If our property was as she states, we would not have a business that has been family owned for over 26 years.We take pride in pleasing all guest and accommodating them during their stay. I feel that the other comments show true to that. Unfortunately, on rare occasions we do find that we can not please everyone. Alternate arrangements were made for this guest ,which was an upgrade from what she reserved, and she declined. Based on the opinions of management and the owner of our property , we went above and beyond for this individual in this situation.
