Great breakfasts...you have to wake up for them!! Fresh OJ and yummy dishes like cinnamon french toast with fresh, local strawberries and walnuts. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. We were looking for something that was not a bed and breakfast, and this place is great because the rooms are off to the side and the breakfast is set up like a restaurant. Bathroom in room was great...clean and had nice lotions and shampoo etc... We stayed four nights and liked it a lot! It's a great location if you want to do the wineries in that area. We really liked Hop Kiln, Clos du Bois, Benziger!!! Martinelli down the road has complimentary wine tasting and Hop Kiln is also complimentary. Stay here!

The Farmhouse is located in the center of the most beautiful wine country in the world. The staff is outstanding and our room was very comfortable and private. We had our own Dry Sauna in the room plus a wonderful soaking tub in the bathroom. The room also had a small refrigerator with bottled water. Every night we were given fresh baked warm cookies and milk. All the linens in the room were outstanding including the wonderful lined bath robes. The guest center provided a nice variety of free bath salts, snacks and nonalcoholic beverages for guests. The Spa is beautiful and sits in a very quiet peaceful location behind the swimming pool. Our stay was wonderful and we will return. This is a wonderful small family operated business that includes a very personal touch. They also serve a fantastic breakfast. Our stay was well worth the expense!

went there last year for my bday (2007) and we booked to return again this year!
really amazing EVERYTHING. i think the dinner was perhaps my boyfriend's favorite meal ever. the first time, we had massages at lavender hill and then i booked myself a second one on our last day at the spa at the farmhouse and it was really one of the BEST massages i've ever experienced. i hate waking up early, but the breakfasts are so yummy, e got there every morning at 9am! the cottages are luxurious and most even have a redwood sauna in the bathroom area along w/ the best organic bath products...great service and location, a bit out of the way of the main spots (which i actually prefer), but still totally convenient and very relaxing.
**JUST GOT BACK from our '08 trip--even better than last year...newly (?) installed communal firepit between the pool area and the reatauant deck to roast gourmet smores at (get all your fixings in the main office) also a new complimentary "bath spa bar" in the office where you can choose from several different scrubs and bath salts/milks to bring back to your room and your big luxurious jacuzzi double tub...and the breakfasts on the deck overlooking the gardens every morning were still to die for...still fantastic massages and overall, everything is extremely high-end without pretentions. can't wait for another occassion to return***

I would highly recommend the Farmhouse Inn for anyone looking for a romantic, wine country weekend getaway. I spent three nights there at the end of April and from start to finish it was a wonderful, memorable stay. To start, the location is great - right in the heart of the Russian River valley, within miles of great wineries in the Russian River, Alexander Valley and Dry Creek areas. The rooms are very comfortable and quite large for being a small inn (we stayed in Room #1 which was decorated in yellow and blue, very cute). The best part of staying at the Inn is the breakfast. It has to be the best breakfast I have ever had. We had three different things while we stayed there, each more delicious than the next. We also ate at the Farmhouse restaurant one night which was excellent (all of locals practically drool when you mention that you are eating at the Farmhouse restaurant). We also ate at Mosaic restaurant in Forestville one night and it was also excellent. While out wine tasting in Alexander Valley we ate lunch at the Jimtown Store – a fun café/store that has excellent wine country picnic style lunches (try the brie and olive sandwich, yum!). The Farmhouse is outside of Healdsburg, further out in the country and after seeing how crowded downtown Healdsburg was on Saturday, I was so glad we did not stay in that area. You really feel like you are in your own special place at the Farmhouse. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely go back again and highly recommend it to others.

We stumbled on this inn online while researching places to eat online in the wine country. We looked at it online, and decided to give it a try for dinner and for an weekend stay. The staff was professional and friendly, but virtually not even seen, which added to the romantic feeling of the place. The room was adorable, a tad small, but lovely. The little touches, like the complimentary freshly baked cookies and milk each night , as well as fresh flowers in the room are what made this place so special. And the "essentiel elements" shampoo and conditioner were positively dreamy. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, I strongly recommend this inn!
