My husband I stayed at The Case Ranch Inn this past weekend for my husband's 35th Birthday. It was WONDERFUL! Diana is very sweet and helped us make all of our dinner reservations. Her recommendations for dinner were ALWAYS great and we enjoyed all the restaurants (Mosaic, Applewood Inn, Stella’s).

The Inn was very, very clean and had everything you needed. We stayed in Elizabeth’s room. The beds were nice and soft and the towels were very white and smelled very nice. She even had put out a dark color wash cloth to wash your make-up off with. Very detailed! The Inn is a traditional country farmhouse inn with flora patterns. Very cozy! Just and FYI…if you want to hang out and watch TV…this is not the place. The room had a very small black and white TV in it…BUT if that is what you are going to do in Wine Country…then you shouldn’t be in wine country. 

The breakfasts were very good too. Everything was fresh and the coffee was excellent!

The location is great...it is very centrally located for the Russian River Valley....Not too far from all the great smaller wineries.

Speaking of wineries....you must go to Bella, Hook and Ladder, Peterson and St. Francis (Sonoma). They were all great!

We will be back to stay again...loved it.

First of all, thank you to our wonderful guests for their kind reviews. To respond to the comment about our room tvs, yes, they are small but perfectly fit in with the proportions of the room. We preferred them to a large tv mounted on the wall motel-style!! THEY ARE COLOR TVS. This guest or another guest probably inadvertently hit the button on the remote that converts it to black/white. Of course, Gina is correct --- if you're here to watch tv all day, shame on you!! We have lovely gardens to explore with great relaxation space for a great book.

Spent 2 nights in Elizabeth's room. The bed is so comfortable, it was blissful. Breakfast is fabulous. One morning Diana served poached figs from the garden with a to-die-for homemade raspberry sauce. She had vegie sausage on-hand which I appreciated. The frittata and pancakes she served were excellent. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. The living room has a comfy chair in front of the fireplace and a decanter of port is always out on the sideboard in the dining room. Location is very convenient to visiting the sea, the Armstrong Redwoods, Occidental or Sonoma vineyards.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Case Ranch Inn. We were in town for a wedding and did not spend much time at the Inn, but it was the perfect place for us. Diana was very accomadating for everything we needed including making dinner reservations for us. The rooms are comfy with a great shower and a cozy bed. The best part for us were the homemade breakfasts and juices made from scratch using fresh fruits from their own garden. A great way to begin the day.

“Wonderful stay”

Case Ranch Inn B&B

27 Aug 2007

I visited the Case Ranch Inn for 2 nights in June with my husband and another couple. The stay was one of the best I've had in a bed and breakfast. I found the location excellent for our first visit to the Russian River Valley. All the wineries were an easy drive from here. The furnishings were lovely and the beds extremely comfortable. The hostess very friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive. The gardens behind the house were absolutely gorgeous and very serene. Breakfast was very good and so ample that we did not need to eat lunch. What stood out for me the most was the cleanliness of this bed and breakfast. I've stayed at a large number of b and b's around the country and this was absolutely the cleanest establishment I've ever seen.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the Case Ranch Inn as a perfect base for your exploration of the Russian River Valley and surrounding areas.

This was the second time we stayed here. The first being 2 years prior. Both visits were wonderful. The inn is beautifully restored and very well maintained. The rooms and common areas are immaculate. the location is perfect for hitting all of the Russian River wineries. We have our favorites but Diana as well as other guests at the inn recommended a few others that are now on our must visit list.

Diana and Allen always goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. They share their lovingly restored home with you (as well as the freshly baked cookies).

we'll definitely return.

a few notes:

this is a traditional B+B with a large (and delicious) breakfast served every morning at a common table with the other guests (about 10 if the place is full). Conversation about the day's activities is a must. So if you don't like socializing with other guests or are looking for a solitary retreat- you might think about somewhere else. That said- it's just breakfast and it's a great way to meet other folks who might have some inside tips about local happenings, wineries or good river spots.

The inn is on a quite small street which is great but can be a trick to find your first time. Make sure to get good directions for that last right turn.

The rooms are all upstairs except for the master suite which is in the back. it has a jacuzzi hot tub and tiny kitchenette. not enough to make a full dinner but good enough for making lunch to sit out in the lovely yard. The web site photos seem current and don't artfully crop out some hideous feature. it's as nice as it looks.

For the eco- conscience, Allen has installed a solar system which came in handy while we were there. It was so hot in Sonoma, the area experienced a brown-out but Case Ranch still had power AND a/c!
