This was our first time at Longboards and my wife and I went with a couple that had a summer house in Graeagle. It was off-season (October), and very few others were there for dinner. To make us even more nervous, the head chef was teaching that night at the local school.
In spite of the potential negatives, all four of us had excellent meals, with attentive service, while enjoying the view and evening surroundings. My seared ahi tuna wasn’t perfect (a couple of tough spots in the “sushi grade” tuna), but its preparation was. I thought my appetizer was wonderful – a “pizza” of duck confit, pears and brie cheese that I had to share even though I wanted the whole thing. We also liked the selections on their wine list. Our somewhat jaded group gave the meal an 8 out of 10 score. And while I can understand why an earlier reviewer was so upset with the service, ours was first rate.
