I do a lot of travelling on business and find Tripadvisor pretty reliable to give me the straight goods on a hotel. However, was slightly led astray about La Quinta in Hayward.
The room was basic and ok but the service was awful, no one at the front desk, not a greeting of hello and made to feel like bad about checking in. Even the manager who was walking around was aloof and made you feel as you were just getting in the way of his work...
The 3rd Floor, which was non smoking, reeked of cigarette smoke, at least the room didn't...
Also found a couple of beer bottles under the bed...good cleaning guys!
Keep on going up the highway...nothing to see here.
