My husband and I were using this hotel quite frequently -- at least twice a month when we came in town for business. It was very convenient and clean. The staff -- desk and cleaning -- are very friendly, helpful and nice. The manager is a whole different story. Upon check out on our last stay in May I waited as she finished with the couple in front of me. The woman had to ASK for a receipt. As I concluded my checkout I waited to see and I also had to ASK for the receipt. The manager huffed as she got it. She never once said "thanks for staying with us or have a nice day" or anything along those lines. When I questioned the charges because my credit card was charged twice she would not even take a moment to listen but said I would have to wait 10 days for the corporate office to "release" the funds. As I tried to question it again she turned to talk to some woman and her baby (probably a friend as she was behind the desk). She totally ignored my presence. My husband tried to call her as we had to get on the road but she became very rude. She called me an hour or so later and when I told her that she never tried to look at the receipt or show any concern she became loud and rude. I told her that she was being very unprofessional and I had a right to question my charges. She said she had been in the hotel for 11 years and must be doing something right. I told her that her staff was excellent but I would suggest she look at some customer service courses or workshops. She got so loud and boisterous that I hung up. I contacted the Super 8 corporate customer service line to which they attempted to get things straightened out. I was to receive correspondence from the location manager within 10 days, and to date have yet to do so. We have not returned to that location due to her attitude. Too many other hotels in same area to choose from without having to deal with that. Afterall, we are paying for room, it's not free; and a customer should be able to ask a question.
