Excellent location and service at this hotel. The gentlemen at the valet stand tried to help us get our rental car convertible down - must have been broken - we had 3-4 guys helping us out! The doorman gave excellent suggestions for a drive down PCH. The front desk was o.k., but the others were great! I needed towels for the pool area at night, and they got them right away.

The hotel was clean and open, and the bed was wonderful!

One complaint is that the turn-down service showed up after 8 pm. Sorry, when you come in from the East Coast that is a little late for turn-down.

The location and the general property are all nice, what you'd expect from a Hilton, although things look a little dated, but overall good. Bar and bar service were great at the restaurant. The room was very nice as well. Shower could have had better water pressure, I know it's nitty, but c'mon, I have certain expectations when staying at a Hilton. My real complaints are that in today's technological age, and at the price of this hotel, I'd expect wireless internet service to be free, but alas, at this hotel, it's something like $9.95 just to connect. Pretty much every thing is nickel and dimed here, i.e., don't move the beer in the stocked fridge to see what's behind it, it'll cost you the price of the beer ($9) just for moving it. Yep. Also, don't put any bottled water in the fridge, it'll cost $40 for the privilege of storing it in there. It's all motion sensored and the little elves at the front desk wait and watch. Also, bicycles are $12 per hour for rental, so if you're out for a few hours with a friend, you could've bought a new bike. Overall our stay was good, but a little surprised by the pettiness of the hotel.

Beautiful beach view ("Surf City") overlooking busy and noisy Pacific Coast Hwy. Noisy construction next door (pile driver starts at 7 AM), smelly powerplant down the road. Inside the facilities are beautiful but small touches are missing: no nightlight in the bathroom, chairs and table on balcony covered with grit, no ventilation in bathroom, slippery tub, no food service at the pool. Food was adequate to good, service was excellent, especially consierge.

I travel a lot on business and I have seen many hotels.
I can confidently state that this hotel is an excellent choice for businessman, singles, couples and families alike.

The conference room is nice and bright, not tucked away in the cellar like in many purpose built hotels.

Rooms are stylish and lovely (see pictures).

I got a room with a wonderful see view.
The hotel has got a nice pool and a jacuzzi.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

Like everywhere in US you are expected to have a car but the High street is a 10 minutes walk away in case you prefer walking and the beach is just across the road.

There are several bus tours available that take you around Holywood, film studios, QE, vineyards etc. but they are quite popular and you might need to book places even before you arrive to the Hotel.

The brunch buffet is very good and opens around 11AM.
If you are not from US you might want to wait a bit with the breakfast as the breakfast choice is apparently serving the American taste. At least I haven't seen anywhere else blueberry pancake with maple syroup and bacon on the breakfast menu. This must be a local specialty.
Us Europeans were a bit diasppointed with the breakfast menu choice but the chef is luckily flexible.
