This is close by hotel to the orange county airport, clean, easy to get to from the airport- if you are going to Disneyland it is not very close- 30-45 minutes in traffic. Not a hotel for families- better for business people.

We spent two nights at the Courtyard in early October and the hotel was very nice. The rooms are clean and enough space for two people to stay comfortably. I believe they have just refurbished the rooms and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel is great and the area seems to be fairly quiet. Irvine is a nice area and very safe. Lots of things to do in the area. If you are going to Disneyland, stay here and make the short drive.

Located near the SNA airport and many large office buildings in Irvine, this property is currently undergoing major upgrades to the new Courtyard room standard. The carpets are changed out and a new twin sofa bed is in place. The sink and counter are also upgraded and the shower head is a nicer model. The big improvement is the bed, as the 4" foam mattress is replaced with a normal height model, similar to the ones being deployed in the mainline Marriott properties (but not, alas, up to the Renaissance standards). A new comforter is in place; alas, it is still cheap nylon, but is has a bit more stuffing. Down pillows are also standard.

The restaurant was closed during my stay - I do not know when it will re-open. The rennovations should be complete in the spring of 2004.
