Very small rooms. Smelled like stale cigarettes even though hotel is non-smoking. AC didn't work well. $18 per day to park. We broke a glass, and it took more than an hour for housekeeping to come even though they knew we had small children in the room. We asked for a roll away bed, and they never provided one which was OK as it would not have fit in the room. We left for a new hotel where we could be cooler at 5:30 p.m. with out checking out or talking to them at all. We stopped when leaving the next day to verify that we did not leave anything in the room, and they had rented out the room to someone else. When we asked about this they proceeded to lie about the room being rented, then they stated they checked at 1 or 2 in the morning and since no one was there they rented out the room. When asked if it is standard to check peoples rooms at one in the morning they stated that it was if they had reason to believe it was empty. When asked if it was rented then at 1 or 2 in the morning he stated that it may have been earlier. The time then was hanged midnight. I asked when the new people checked in, and was told they have no way of knowing. I stated that was incorrect as their computer system tells them all of that information. It finally came out that between 5:30 when we left with out saying a word, and 8:30 when the new renters checked in, they had determined that we were no longer there, and had cleaned the room and re-rented it. Even though we paid for the use of the room, they got twice the money. I was just glad we did not come back later that night and try to get into someone else's room. They did not offer a refund when asked nor would they apologize for lying to us. A refund would have been fine as they got paid for the room twice, but they did not even waive our parking fees. A total customer service nightmare, we expected more from Mariott.
