As a convention Hotel for business travelers this is a good hotel.

If I were on vacation I would be less inclined to stay here. This hotel does not have much to offer as far as views,pools,fitness or dining. And it really shows the wear and tear of use.

The high rise condos and banks have blocked almost all the views to the water. The pool is in the back sandwhiched between parking garges. The fitness room was a pile of poorly maintained equipment. And my room had a slow draining sink and two burnt out light bulbs. Also it was really well worn. The ticket machine at parking did not work. I don't expect perfection from a big place like this but they maintence staff is slacking here.

The other staff was professional, particularly the friendly bellmen.

The decor and desing of the hotel was fine as were the usual excellent Westin bed and bath.

Strangely, the halls and corridoors were totally deviod of any art or furniture. Newspapers were stacked on the floor in front of the elevators. The curved halls and low-roofed elevator bay with the tiny window made it rather creepy.

If this hotel had been better maintained I would have given it a Neutral, but it was not. The workout room in particular was really a disgrace.

I would not want to vacation here: but for a widget convention it would be fine.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. The hotel is really nice and especially the room we got which is two queen size bed. We were staying for Anime Expo taking place at Long Beach Convention. What so great about the Westin Hotel location is that the convention is right across the street. Only down size that my group experience is that our television didn't work and that the shower have no air vent. It get really stuffy.

This hotel is very nice. It's located right across the street from the convention center and a short walk down to the water. I stayed in a room with a King Bed. The bathroom was wonderful...a very nice shower and the toiletries provided smelled great. The bed was very comfortable. Free Starbucks coffee can be brewed in the room, although you do have to call down to the desk to get the key for the mini bar. The hotel restaurant was good enough if a little overpriced and the outside seating by the bar was very enjoyable. Service was impecable. My only (very minor) complaints were that I was put in a back room with a view onto a parking garage and that if you want to use the internet with your labtop in your room you have to pay an extra $10/day. There is free wi-fi in the lobby if you're willing to work down there. Overall, this is a very nice hotel.

We booked through Hotwire for $100 a night for a king size heavenly bed double room. I thought this was a good rate. Room size was good. Had a view of pool on 9th floor. We were right next to vending and ice machine but never heard anyone use them.
Bed was okay. Loved the shower. Breakfast buffet in morning was $18 a person pricey but very good. The concierge printed out our boarding passes so we didn't have to pay for internet.
Liked the hotel for price I paid. Best western was more expensive than $100.
