Brian, Jeff, Frank (Winston & Waldo) genuinely care about their guest's comfort, are very responsive and really were, the consummate hosts. Check in was easy, breakfast conversation delightful, and the inn ultimately a very pleasant stay. We brought along our little Westie, and believe it or not (this isn't just a dog-lover exaggerating) one of the resident bulldogs was such a charming host to our pup (sharing appropriate sized bones and the like)! Be sure to take advantage of the great dining experiences in town (just a 3 block walk to Pine Ave.). The Turret House was a wonderful addition to our journeys; thank you, Brian & Jeff, for participating in our project! :)

We stayed at the Turret House a day before and a day after our cruise. We were expecting a place to just sleep and recover from our flight......but we experienced so much more, we received a warm welcome from the owners, and their 2 adorable bulldogs. We also met some charming guests, and were treated like family by the owners. Thanks, you two, for a relaxing and enjoyable stay........the house is beautiful, and every little convenience down to the smallest detail was there for the our enjoyment. Exceptional experience!

I've always preferred to stay in B&B's rather than chain hotels, and the Turret House has reconfirmed my feelings. Not only is the place impeccably kept, the easy going style of the hosts (Brian & Jeff) was such a welcoming experience. Their attention to details is incredible, right down to the candles and books in the room - not to mention the massage oil ;-)

My only "disappointment" was that I didn't get to meet their Chow Chow dog. But, the other two pooches (adorable Waldo and Winston) made up for it.

The added bonus was that my husband got bragging rights about our lodging since his colleagues were all booked into the dreadfully cramped Queen Mary Hotel (some with plumbing problems that were never fixed during their 5 day stay!).

We spent a wonderful five days here. Hosts Jeff and Brian have paid the most meticulous attention to all the details that make the experience something special. From the many antique and vintage furnishings, to the excellent breakfast eaten on elegant china, to the voluminous fluffy robes in every room, there are so many reasons to love this B & B. It is full of such distinctive touches and one is constantly discovering new, previously overlooked surprises. The well-equipped kitchen is available for your use if you so desire, and complimentary wine, beer, soda, coffee and tea are always available. We also enjoyed the company of the other guests, who a quite diverse group. There were both gay/lesbian and straight guests, and the homey atmosphere encouraged socializing. But this place is not "like home"--it's far better. The only negative is that some rooms are quite small, but still comfortable and nicely furnished, each with its own theme. Stay here if you have the opportunity!
