This little B&B was absolutely a delightful surprise!! The owner, the dogs, the guests, the hospitality....make this a destination in itself. One of the owners was gone, but the other owner was very friendly and helpful. Winston, the bulldog, was ADORABLE!! The Diet Coke in the fridge, the wine bottle always open and available, the red licorice at the front door, the beautiful table setting for breakfast, the game room that takes you back to night in the Great Gatsby....we really enjoyed our stay here. The added touch of eye make-up remover in the bathroom, ear plugs, sound machine....nice touch!
Just so you know though, this is a old house, so the bedrooms are quite small. There is no fancy TV and the closet is an armoire. We stayed in the Queen Mary room which fronts the street...which is quite noisy. The bathrooms were pleasant, but be prepared for an old-fashioned bathtub and shower. Delightful though.
The charm of this B&B is that because you have the run of the house, there is no need to spend all your time in your room unless you want to rest, sleep, or watch TV.
Given the size and atmosphere, this is probably not an Inn for families unless you have older kids. There are all kinds of books, newspapers, games, and cards with which to entertain yourself. We hope to visit there again sometime.
