The purpose of our trip was a leisurely, weekend tour of Los Angeles beach communities. My husband booked the room on the Internet and we knew the commitment involved. I was skeptical after reading the reviews and contacted Days Inn president’s office personally. We found the hotel on a major thoroughfare, not the best part of town, but certainly NOT "seedy" either. One of the first things I noticed was onsite security. Our room had been recently remodeled, was clean, the windows barred, and the neighborhood was quiet that particular weekend. Upon arrival and inspection, we did request newer sheets as those on the bed were very thin and pilled. Our request was responded to immediately. We stayed in a room with a jaccuzzi and it worked perfectly. TV reception was poor, but we were told they were having cable problems. We found the refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and a trip to Trader Joes sufficient for our needs. My husband was disappointed that Internet access was weak and riddled with security warnings, so he did not use it. For under $100.00 a night, it was a very good value in our opinion.

Wow... I did not realize this hotel is in a bad neighborhood. Traveling just myself (woman) and my small son. BEWARE EVERYONE BEWARE... Days Inn has a scam of NO CANCELLATIONS which is in the fine print of the TERMS AND AGREEMENTS!

I stayed at Days Inn in Long Beach, it was a ghetto part of town, the room was dirty and smelled like old dirty socks.
The bathroom was crawling with ants. Very disappointing, I would recommend looking for someplace else even if you paid a few dollars more.

Did Not Clean Room No Hangers Deplorable Room Conditions
Room 104 no hangers brought to room after 3 days of asking. Rude managers, maids did not clean room because I would leave my room between12-1pm and accordingly to mgmt they go off duty at 1pm. However 1 day in question the manager told the maid to clean my room and it was at 3-4pm and she was still working as I watched her take towels to a room next door to me which was unoccupied. The maid off duty at 1pm was not posted in the lobby, room nor was it told to me at check in time. No towels or clean sheets or trash emptied for 3 days. Burn marks on carpets, toilets, tub, sink. there was burned out crevice on the toilet that made it uncomfortable to sit on without scratching up the back of my thigh, I had to use a washcloth to wrap around the toilet lid to sit on and do my business. that left me with only 1 wash cloth for 3 days. Thank god I had bath sponges with me. the dresser had 2 drawers that would not close properly and the back of it was pulled away from the dresser and behind the dresser, dust debris and phone book. Trash and debris were behind 1 of the nitestands I had to pull it out and replug the phone line in. Manager lied to expedia staff about my stay. Claimed I trashed the room. There idea of trashing was having a full overflowing trashcan and pile of dirty towels on the bathroom floor. What was I suppose to do with them after 3 days of no room attendance take them out myself. I did not complain about the deplorable conditions upon check in but I was asked to leave the premises because I was insistent about having my room cleaned after 12pm, with clean towels and hangers brought in to hang my clothes. management was rude they have no customer service skills and don’t believe in accomodating the basic neccessities of a hotel/motel room. A clean room, fresh towels and hangers to hang their clothes. I do not recommend this Days Inn on PCH IN LONG BEACH. It is being run by hotel slum lords and should be removed from expedia[--]
